I must admit this time around I'm def liking the X much better than launch day.

Launch day i could not get used to the size of the phone at all felt it was too small...so after 14days i took it back and got an 8plus since i traded in my 7plus and it was gone - (been on a plus size since it 6 plus)

verizon had a promo to win me back (jumped to t mobile) 499.99 trade in on the 8plus + 150.00 gift card to use as i want - basically iPhone X for 350.00

I felt i could not pass this up as T mobile was not working out for me at my gyms.

i actually like the X much better this time around....the plus size is a little much after a while...streaming music with the plus in gym short pockets does not cut it. Riding my Harley the plus was always a pain had to either throw it in my bags or deal with the bulge in the pocket.

i really think the X is the perfect size. fits in my pockets perfectly - when the screen is lit up its like having a plus size screen. yes i know the plus is bigger really and better format but X is longer and the notch does not bother me.

i don't see myself buying the plus size X anymore...for every day use i think X is great.

Face Id has been working great also...if its laying on my desk i just unlock with the code no big deal.

does seem to take forever to charge though....

Glad to see you enjoying the X it's a good phone and the screen is bigger than the Plus models unlike some people say.

trust me ive gone back and forth on this ....most of the apps i use are taking full advantage of the X's screen
yes the plus is wider....but the X is taller and a smaller package.

after carrying the plus size for 4 years it was time for a change with something better in the pocket fit.

i swore up and down i would wait for the Xplus myself but every day that went on i got more and more sick of the plus size phone.

The longer someone uses a phone, the more likely they will get accustomed to the size.

I suspect the 2018 Plus will have some unique features such as split screen multitasking. Until it's released, the X is a good bet for those who want a smaller package.

I had an 8 Plus and went to the X. It still feels small to me which is weird since it's 5.8". The ideal phone for me would be the X in an 8 Plus size chassis. So like the rumored 6.2 or 6.5" X Plus.

If apps are not optimised i just delete them, they have had long enough to update and don't deserve my usage.

The X even with its FID i don't like/use to unlock unless travelling, is the best iPhone i have had, and i have had everyone in every size since the 4S.

It's the first iPhone that feels unique and different since the iPhone 4, feels very premium in the hand.

Definitely agree. Our brains our highly adaptive. In less than a week of getting a new sized phone I’ll be comfortable again.

the x is a portrait phone so its much bigger in portrait.i have a 6 inch zte 16X9 phone and the X is actually taller and alot smaller because is not wide and actually fullscreen phone

I agree. When Apple launched the iPhone 6 with a 4.7/5.5 iPhone Plus, I opted for the 4.7 model. I told myself that I would not be comfortable using a larger 5.5 model for obvious reasons. I then upgraded to the iPhone Plus, now I cannot imagine using anything smaller Than the X, other than an iPhone SE for work related purposes.

Yeah, I miss my 7 Plus. Love the all screen of the X but miss the bigger size, going with X Plus for sure this year. Tired of this small phone...

The keyboard on the X was too smushed in for me had to revert to the 8 Plus ASAP within 14 day window. In addition not a fan of first gen Face ID. Found myself typing my unlock code more than it unlocking automatically and it’s much slower than Touch ID.

I’m actually missing my old 7 Plus. I miss the wider keyboard. Using the Plus sized iPhones is very roomy, like stepping into a big Cadillac while the X is a Porsche. I’ll be waiting for the 6.4 inch X Plus with open arms.

Yeah this is a tough call.
I’ve had the X since Saturday and have till tomorrow to turn my plus in

Biggest thing to me is pocket use. The x is perfect size for pocket but then has a large screen- and narrow - feels like a child’s phone now lol

Plus is not so pocket friendly- ugly as ***- but keyboard is nice and spread out. Feels substantial in the hand.

I have one more day to make this decision thought I was gonna keep it but don’t know since I picked up my plus again.

also the X is half off right now for me (with trade in) and an additional 150.00 gift card. So really only 350.00

I felt the same way as you but I’m starting to miss it. It doesn’t help that my wife has a 7 Plus that I use sometimes.

The 7+ still one of my top iPhones. I could not part ways with that and I still have it when need be m. I personally like the aluminum, which was one last models to incorporate that.

yes i agree the matt black finish on the 7 plus was a lot better...wish i would have just kept that but i was having battery issues (before they made the battery replacement program so cheap)

i guess what makes it a hard decision is having both in front of me...one is so easy to type on and the other fits so much better in the pocket....

That’s what I like about the width with the iPhone Plus models, is the more wide-open keyboard. The iPhone X is much more comfortable to use and manipulate one-handed, but with the added weight from the stainless, glass backing and wireless charging components internally, it is significantly heavier in the pocket, Likely because its also a bit more condensed of a form factor that makes it appear heavier when holding it.

Much like OP I’m happy with the overall size of the X and tell myself that I won’t get a phone with a larger footprint but I’m a sucker for a larger screen so we will see how my temptation holds up.

The only negative was the chipping of the black anodizing.

That wasn’t widespread, that was an unannounced amount of iPhones that were affected. There have been actually other threads that certain iPhone models were also prone to chipping due to the anodizing finish was not cured properly with a small batch of iPhones. There is no way to definitively know how every iPhone was affected.
