It's not that someone wouldn't want to rotate, it's that they don't have rotation worked out for that type of view basically, kind of like it is in the non-Plus iPhone versions (as zoomed view essentially makes it more or less the equivalent of that in that sense).A feature then. Apple support didn't ask me if I had Zoomed on when I called. They said sometimes it gets stuck and try a Restart or Reset. Reset apeeared to work as it reset to Standard view and rotate worked. As soon as I went back to Zoomed. It froze in portrait.
Shame it's a feature as I was hoping for bug fix. Wonder why it can't rotate or why Apple would think people who like Zoomed mode would not want screen to rotate?

Non-plus iPhones don't support home screen rotation. And non-plus screens all rotate. Zoomed and Rotation should be two seperate issues and functions. That Zoomed is only available 50%(?) of the time sure seems like a bug...or just lazy programming.
I got the Plus because I wanted the zoomed view, my 6s screen in a slightly larger view.
Still no warning about it when activating and Apple support never asked if I had Zoomed on, you'd think that would be the firsts question.
It's by design basically, as mentioned earlier in the thread. The 7 plus will not change to landscape mode while set on "zoomed" mode. I'm unsure if that is an iOS 10 bug, but it is known that it won't work.
