Well then. Looks I'm getting a new 6 plus. Do they give out refurbs. yet

Yeah definitely sounds like your iPhone is defective. They're not offering any refurbished. They do offer replacements and they're still brand-new. But they come in a white box, not sealed from the factory.

8.0 had a bug and when I upgraded to 8.0.2 it had a bug as well with safari. I fixed it tho so everything is perfect right now running 8.0.2. #

Absolutely nothing wrong with my Plus. The next software upgrade includes Apple Pay. I do not need the update for performance purposes.

Doesn't the next update include SMS Relay so you can text from Yosemite to non-iMessage users as well? I'm just curious. I could have sworn I was able to with iOS 8 and one of the previous Apple Seed builds but I guess Apple took it away until the Public release and iOS 8.1?

I did an OTA to 8.0.2 the day after I picked up my 6 plus. Had all kinds of problems. Wouldn't save recent calls, wifi was spotty, lte was non existent yet 4g worked well. Apple maps couldn't find location. Google maps couldn't connect to network. Facebook kept crashing. Safari kept giving problems with web page errors and reloading. Mail kept having trouble identifying gmail certificate....and so much mre.

Tried reset network settings to no joy, had to put in dfu mode and do a complete restore. That so far has fixed every issue that I had.

If that doesn't work then I'd say hardware issue

I had this problem with exactly the same message with iMessage and FaceTime, but on my MacBook, not my iphone. Don't know yet what happened, but in contact with Apple support, they told me i had a problem with my user, a local problem on my MacBook.
The only way to solve it was to create a new user, using the same AppleID, and everything worked fine.
But... iOS don't have users like OSX. Anyway, may be a clue to find out what os happening.

My phone saved its self lol. iMessage started having my number again.

This is getting a bit crazy....doing a complete restore once let alone more than once shouldn't be required because someone didn't test the iOS update before they put it up! Idk what Apple is doing but I'm staying on 8.0.0 until 8.1 or whatever has no less than shining reviews....Seriously...

If nothing is working, I'd do a restore in the Apple store and let them either fix it or gimme that new one over there ---->

This is why I chose not to update to 8.0.2.
I will remain content using 8.0.0 until 8.1 becomes available.

8.0.2 destroyed my health app...
