8-9 hours battery?

    I judt bought a mbp. I have let the battery die and have just finished charging it to 100%.

    It says 5:49 remaining.

    WTF?!?!

    Battery needs to be calibrated properly as per the guide GGJ provided

    i got mine to say 10:05 once and only once....after that though I never see more than about 6 hours on it....

    Get the gfxcardstatus app, this will increase your battery life tremendously by forcing the computer to use the intel graphics all the time until you need the nvidia....

    I usually get about 5-6 hours outa mine (13" MBP) ;) But thats just medium web browsing...

    what brightness setting? apple tests theirs at approx. 50% brightness. also, it depends on what you're doing at the time.
