8+ battery life on 11.2

Nope. Not even slightly. I thought battery life on 11.1.2 was good, 11.2.0/11.2.1 is MUCH better.
I can easily get 10 hours I usage and 20 hours of standby on my 8Plus. And that’s heavy usage and screen pretty much always on for those 10 hours.

Sounds like you have a rogue app or setting. 11.2/11.2.1 is the best I’ve seen in years.
Nope it’s really good. How long does yours last and what does the power usage show for your apps?
I don't have a Plus but I've consistently getting killer battery life on 11.1+ with my iPhone 8. Significantly better than my iPhone 6s with 10.x. I haven't used my phone a ton today but I'm at 99% with 49 minutes of usage and 3.5 hours of standby. Most of that usage was Bluetooth audio which is pretty lightweight, granted, but on other days I'm seeing 4-5 hours of usage when I'm at 60%.
