Since the 12 update my phone will sometimes freeze up when I try to go into settings. Since this new update it happens in other programs as well. Not sure what's causing the issue. It's a 256 GB and probably only 30% is used.

It's the 8+. When I go into setting to choose a wifi connection for instance I can't go into the wifi; it just freezes and then crashes back to the home screen.

I've had this issue on my XS. I have a feeling it's just another bug that will never be fixed and it's quite annoying because it happens almost every time I go into settings.

Interesting, I've never had this happen with my X, actually the first I've heard of it. Does it happen every time or intermittently? Also I know this sucks and is time consuming, but maybe it is worth doing a full backup and testing after a restore and set the device up as a new iPhone?

It's intermittent for me. Maybe 1 out of 20 times?

It happens intermittently for me as well, both on my iPhone X and my iPad Pro 11. It’s extremely frustrating as sometimes it can take 15+ seconds before I can actually access the Settings app.

this bug has been around for a long time. believe since iOS 10.

but I could also imagine it since iOS 7 (unfortunately I didn't test it).

there is mostly a connection with the network connection and they work, which are not adjustable in the apps.
