do you think 8 (and more) GB of Ram will be possible soon in macbook pro's? Or not any time soon?
id say not anytime soon but i think i read there already capable of 8gb of RAM its just that you cant get 4gb modules

I think just maybe in mid to late 2009, we really just got to 4 GBs and there has been no talk about 8 GBs in a notebook anytime soon.
It is possible though right? I mean assuming there was 8GBs (4+4) available.
The Santa Rosa chipset (PM/GM965) supports up to 8 GB of RAM.
The problem is getting that into two slots.
They support 8GB now. There just aren't any single 4GB sticks.

At that price it probably is but sweet if not.
Yeah, I've never found desktop RAM that cheap right now.
Tracing the part number down yields a 2X2GB kit. Oh well....
I did have my doubts.
