That is too funny! It can be a tough decision, both have their pros and cons to each other. I find it interesting that you don't see many debating the iPhone 8 vs X threads and posts. One thing I was thinking about today is how much less buggy IOS 11 is on the X vs the other devices. I found the more bugs when upgraded on the 7 that even with a fresh start continued into the 8 Plus. The X has been totally smooth since I got it <knock wood>
This is definitely a phone you have to give a chance to develop new muscle memory with. Every iPhone until now was easy to pick up and roll with as the experience has been consistent throughout the last 10 years with buttons, and then adding new features that were fairly easy to integrate into your daily flow, you either liked the new feature and used it, or you didn't like it and didn't have to use it. This is retraining your brain, its perfect for those of us that like the newest, latest, and greatest. Its a little more difficult for those of us that like what we are used to. Thank God they kept the general look and feel of the iOS we all know and love, so it wasn't a total retrain from scratch.
Just shy of a week in, everything is completely part of my routines. I am totally used to the gestures and I now find it slightly odd when I pick up my Wife's iphone 6Plus when she needs some help with it as that now feels very large to me and I am so used to the gestures on the X that I have to retrain my brain for a moment to get used to the "old" way. I am no longer getting used to the thinner screen, the X just feels like home now. No turning back and no desire.
