Is it worth it for me to go to an Apple store after work tonight and see if they have any 8+ in stock? I tried the online website, but it wouldn't allow me to check availability for in-store inventory.

Thanks!

My Apple Store had zero phones for walk-ins. Other people are reporting that their stores have plenty available. I would definitely call and ask before driving over there...

Depends. How convenient is it to go to the Apple Store? Got two Apple Stores (Glendale, CA) like 5 minutes from home so no big deal. It's actually far easier to just drop in store than be stuck on hold calling.

Just call the store . . . and ask if they have any iPhone 8 left

Update- called, was told they had a good inventory, and to come in but warned me that it might unexpectedly run out.

Went to the store after work, literally no line, store was nowhere near to crowded, and got the exact model I wanted (8+, 64GB). Thumbs up!

I’m also wondering if they’re even allowing walk-ins...
Yes they are allowing walk-ins at the apple store near me. I was there earlier and there were few ahead up me and the apple staff asked one of the guy "what phone would you like to reserve?"
