(8) Space Grey - Fingerprint?

Hi,

Is there someone here with a Space Grey iPhone 8?
From what I saw from YouTube and other websites reviewing the iPhone 8, the Space Grey look a lot more reflective than the Silver. I'm also concern about fingerprint on the back of the phone in this color. Do you have any problem with this color?

All 3 colors will have fingerprint on them when used. Space Gray color tends to be more visible then the other 2 colors.

A microfiber cloth is your friend.

Fingerprints and smudges on the glass back are inevitable. That was one of the good benefits of the aluminum back. However I do believe that the space gray models show them easier than the silver models.

I don’t think that should dictate what color you choose though.

I wonder if there is some oleophobic coating you can apply to your phone on maybe a semi-annual basis to keep fingerprints from sticking, I think Apple usually treats their glass display out of the factory with it.

The black silicone case takes care of the problem nicely

The darker the color, the more fingerprints will reflect.

It's a phone, fingerprints are inevitable, it doesn't matter which device you own. Everybody's reaction to touching iPhone will have different prints or use a case.

I chose silver for this reason. I love the black but I have massive OCD so I have a microfibre cloth that I clean my phone with 2 times a day with

I went with silver for 2 reasons: 1, fingerprints are less noticeable, and 2, scratches in the glass (if I get any) will be less noticeable.

I wipe my 8+ off with a MF cloth at the end of the day when it goes on the charger.

Do not worry about it during use during the day.

This is what I do and have never had an issue with smudges on my Space Grey iPhone 8. I do wipe the front of my hands after applying lotion though.
