8 vs X - Glass Back

For anyone who has seen them both in person...

Are the backs of the iPhone 8 and iPhone X identical in color?

I thought I wanted one of the colors until I saw the 8 in person.

as far as i can gather..

nobody posting here on a regular basis has seen the iPhone X in person.

and my own take on this-- the back isn't the decisive factor as far as aesthetics go.. it's the steel.

Silver, space gray, and my jet black for comparison. It was hard to take the picture without reflections.

I’m still undecided. Next to my jet black, the space grey looks dirty, or almost brownish, but I’m sure it would look fine on its own. The silver just looks white. That harkens back to old school Mac, which is cool. I just don’t know!
