You know what's really scary? We humans have some prewired beauty perception, just like peacocks and all those other strange looking animals. I was reading a while back that it might somehow be related to the golden rectangle. That we even have beauty perception can be credited to our overpopulation but it really serves no purpose in evolution.
If aliens were to observe us, they would be perplexed to why some humans are considered more attractive than others.
Beauty is such a weird thing.
Above, I was just talking about faces. Bodies are easy to figure out. Muscles = stronger. Lean (not fat or really skinny) = can escape from predators better than fat humans. Breasts = more milk for children.
Butt = better sitting ability?
The thing is, if we wanted to really advance society, the smartest people should get the most. But we all know nerds don't get laid.
I think we'll reach a point where all humans start looking the same, and then intelligence will be valued. Couple thousand years.
By then, we'll have milked the planet of oil, most metals, wood, etc. We'll probably not make it. Civilized society relies on unrenewable (definitely spelled wrong, but oh well) resources.
Oh, and Keira is definitely better. She never said she "understands black people."

Keira's Heinie Hang-Up
Keira Knightley may be carrying about as much excess weight on her sylph-like frame as a swizzle stick, but she's still self-conscious about certain parts of her body.
The "Pirates of the Caribbean" cutie, 19, tells the London Mirror she's adamant the only booty audiences will eyeball is of the treasure chest variety.
"You're not going to see my [posterior]!" she recalls telling a director. "The top half is fine but the bottom half isn't."
Knightley, who has shown her "top half" on camera in the past and has several skin-heavy scenes in the upcoming time-travel psychological drama "The Jacket" with Adrien Brody, isn't quite sure why she has a heinie hang-up.
"It's a girl thing," she tells the paper. "You know, it's just one of those things ..." Huh, thanks for clearing that up.
According to Keira, she was attracted to the John Maybury-directed "Jacket" because it gave her a chance to play something other than the "slightly feisty, English, corseted ... damsel in distress" role she's usually offered.
"That is great and you are very lucky if you can play it, but it gets a bit boring if that's all you are going to do," she explains. "When I read this script the character was different from anything I had played before and was just really, really exciting."
And how. Keira reveals it was "kind of the first time I had done a nude thing," but insists, "It was cool," especially since only a few crew members were on hand to ogle, er, film her scenes.
Critics are responding to her performance, with Variety enthusing, "Among the principals, only Knightley, doing a spot-on American accent and projecting sensitivity and warmth beneath her steely exterior, seems to be playing a character with an inner life."

I know, I know, russed just said the same thing, just thought I'd try something different. A shot with the short hair, still don't like it too much, but this is one of the better ones. I hate this picture. I really, really hate it. It puts me off Keira. I don't like her with this hairstyle anymore. In fact, too many of these pictures, and I may give up my obsession.
I happen to like the short hair. And, while the sweater isn't a sexy as some of her other attire, I think she looks really cute in it. More "girlfriend-like".
