You see e, you have chosen a good "path" for your avatars. You have given them a home on a popular user's posts. You have chosen a good topic (an attractive girl, who we know plenty about, but isn't that globably known, and therefore hasn't been whored to death by the media). And you have given your avatars thier own topic.
However, and this will be hard at first, but you must hear it.
You have been... abusing your avatars.
You have been adding animations to them. Now... these animations started out small... slight, not very noticable animations. They... distorted the legacy of your avatar. They, put it off path from it's pilgrimage to, an icon of the fourms. But your avatar continued on. It kept going.
However, recently, you made a decision. Although you were abusing your avatars before, you have made a decision to add a transition to one. This hasn't changed your avatar. This hasn't given you an animated avatar. This has completely disrupted it's path. Ended it's pilgrimage. In effect... and this will be hard for you to take on board, as it is quite horrific.
Ready yourself.
You have murdered your avatar.
Yes, murdured. Ended a great journey. You have dropped a rock on the head of the avatar, while it journied, damaged, abused, but still treading on down the path you gave it. You killed it, got it's corpse, and reanimated it.
You have killed your avatar. You no longer have an avatar. You have a shell. A heartless, soulless shell. Moving, but still dead.
...
But hope is not lost. You can return it. If you believe that you can change your ways, your avatar will return. You can put it back on the path of old, reinstate it's pilgrimage, and have it continue on. All you have to do, is return to non-animated avatars.
Please e! Think of this from the avatar's point of view! Give it a life again... Change your ways...

Well...what can I say to that!
My only excuse for my destructive ways must be that I've had a few days off work this week just to relax, and enjoy not being at work, and I have subsequently become bored to tears, the end result of this being trying to find a way to occupy myself for brief periods. One of these periods being getting a bit creative with Photoshop/ImageReady And you know how that turned out...
Never fear, it's not over yet, I'll be back to work Monday, and next time it's 'tar changin' time, I won't have the time to piss around doing stupid animations

Yeah, Wallace is from Half-Life 2. He gives little PSAs to people. When he finds that Gordon Freeman has arrived in City 17, he directs them at gordon. The way he speaks to Gordon, is how I tried to speak.

I wanna know what happened afterwords. Did the explosion destory just the citadel, or all of City 17? Did Alyx survive? Did Eli and Mossman survive? Why did the G-Man pull you out? Is he human or alien? Why are the Vortigaunts helping the humans (I never worked it out)? Why did Breen order you to get a result from that Crystal in Half-Life 1 (and subsequently make you cause a reasonacne cascade and cause Earth to be invadad)? How long was the time between the Black Mesa incident and the City 17 incident? WHY ARE THERE SO MANY UNANSWERED QUESTIONS!
i don't know what's going one...i didn't even play HL 1. but i do kind of like how they left it. i'd have to say that Alyx would have been killed... i suppose the whole citadel went down. but who knows.

The problem comes in that I read Macrumors at work and see the avatar and think, "Cool. I'll have to download that on my Mac when I get home."
