I'm thinking of buying the latest Macbook Pro and Time Capsule. 802.11ac standard isn't finished so it's draft? I have read somewhere that some manufactures could update their draft routers to finalized version. Has Apple done this with previous devices or do they release new hardware when it's finalized and not in draft?

New hardware will not be necessary. When the AC standard is finalized, Apple will release a firmware update if one is needed. Sam thing happened when N came out. Apple and many other router vendors came out with draft N then updated the firmware to final later. No hardware change was needed.

You will fine to buy the AC version now.

*To meet the standard of N. The draft period for N was so long, that a lot of draft N routers did not end up supporting all the features of N, or the full speed.

Not that it really matters at the moment with the AC Airport Extremes, nor will it in the near future.
