iPod touch 802.1x w/ 1.1.3

Can anyone confirm that the 1.1.3 update fixes the 802.1x authentication issues that people are having? One thread stated that they added VPN access with the app package. Not sure about the 802.1x though..

i looked in security types, and all i saw was WEP, WPA, WPA2, no VPN
