at my school i discovered i could connect to the secure school wireless and not guest wireless using my lab login on osx with the 802.x option

this worked great on 10.5.2 i told it to allways trust the certificate
and from then on it auto-connected when i got to school
i did the combo update the other night to 105.5 from 10.5.2

now when i go to school it doesnt connect automatically and if i select the network it acts like its connected but i get a 169 ip until this "802.x authentication" window pops up i enter my password and it connects

the only thing on the window is username and password field and a check box for "only use this password once"
theres no remember password

because this is not a pc my network people cant help me
any ideas i like auto connecting

Tried removing the 802.1X settings, and then reconnecting?

First, turn Airport off, then go to System Prefs >> Network >> Airport >> Advanced >> -remove the trusted network from the list- >> 802.1X >> -press "-" with the current network selected-

Then, turn Airport on, and you should need to reconnect to the Wifi with a new login to the 802.1X secured network.

Good luck.

Could also be that your keychain has the wrong password saved..?

Open your "login.keychain" (in ~/Library/Keychains/), and look in the "login" keychains (top left) for WPA password.
Select in and remove by pressing BACKSPACE.

Your 802.1X should create a new keychain entry.

Good luck again.

Same problem for me

I'm having the same issue and tried removing from the keychain and redoing it, but to no avail.

Any other ideas?
