I'm thinking that we will see a refresh on the 19th. The reason being that if you look at all of Apples promotions, they all end on January 18th. It seems convenient to me to offer new promotions and a new product at the same time.
As I mentioned in this very similar thread, the promotions really aren't a way to measure Apple's product cycle. The Back-to-School Promotion has traditionally run through an update cycle and many of these promotions last year long.

I got the sense that zedsdead was suggesting that because Apple does not normally announce products right before an earnings call, the 19th was out of question. However, it would seem to give evidence towards the 27th as being more likely.
