These mini chargers are rocking my world. Anybody know of a small 87w one for a 15" MBP?
May not be necessary... I am running my 3.1GHz 2017 15 inch MBP with no issues with Anker GaN 60W power supply and it is working perfectly fine. I can imagine extreme use where it may not, but that has to be very rare - especially while on travel.
My system normally draws between 13 and 26 W.
How do you measure your draw?May not be necessary... I am running my 3.1GHz 2017 15 inch MBP with no issues with Anker GaN 60W power supply and it is working perfectly fine. I can imagine extreme use where it may not, but that has to be very rare - especially while on travel.

How do you measure your draw?I use the Anker 60W as well for a 2018 15” with the 555x.
When I’m fully loading it in my own use cases: heavy macos MS apps (teams, outlook, large excel), Win 10 VM with PowerBI, and idle WoW in the background.... I get about 55W max draw.
I’ve been considering an upgrade to the Vega 20 model and I suspect the 60W won’t handle that, but maybe?
iStat Menus, they provide all sorts of numbers. How do you measure your draw?
Interesting! I have them installed. Which figure is it?iStat Menus, they provide all sorts of numbers.

I have the same question too
I found it in iStat! Currently 26W!

the 60W charger has been working fine for my 2018 i9 + 32GB ram + Vega 20.
I do relatively heavy workloads (VMs, software builds, etc) all the time and I have rarely seen the battery indicator drop to 99%.
However if your battery is already low it might be really slow to charge while you do work.
