Why would anyone get the iPhone 12 over the iPhone 12 Pro?

Good point. Although some are actually preferring the matte like finish of the aluminum sides to the fingerprint magnet of the stainless steel

Matte like finish on sides of 12 is better. Matte glass of the Pro is better. Can't have both. ☹️
I really wish I didn’t use telephoto portraits of my kids all the time, or I’d get the 12. Portrait mode is ruined without the telephoto IMO and it’s a big part of my camera experience. Dolby Vision @ 60FPS is intriguing on the Pro as well.

Exactly why I went with the Pro. My wife could not care less about the specs, so got her the 12
Not identical all! 50% more RAM-6GB, shoots 60 fps 4K, has additional telephoto len, etc...
This was my debate. Wasn't an easy choice, but I prefer the aluminum and the lighter weight is a big deal for portability. Would love telephoto but decided to live without it as the cheaper price of the 12, along with lighter weight won out for me. Ordered the 128 12 in Blue.
I don't need 128gb. I have so much room left on my 64gb Xs...
And the thing I don't like about my Xs is the weight. 12 Pro is even heavier.
I like the camera capabilities of 12 Pro, however. I would definitely upgrade next year if they make 13 Mini Pro, A small lightweight phone jam-packed with all the goodies.

That’s with AT&T/Verizon discount. It’s $30 more for unlocked.
Very little price difference but also very little spec difference. Neither is the clear winner IMO.
