8800 GT for FCS2 - Will it speed things up?

I am getting a new Mac Pro 8 core 2.8 to use for HD video editing with Final Cut Studio 2. I will be putting in 8GB memory. I am trying to decide if upgrading to the 8800 GT will help or hinder. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

According to this, http://www.barefeats.com/harper10.html, you should stick with the 2600 XT.

I have read that test and I think I am going with the 2600. Thanks.

woah! glad i stuck with the 2600 then. Can be up to twice as quick as the 8800 for some things in FCS.

And the quadro looks like a bit of a waste unless you are doing ULTRA high end stuff (in which case you're probably not buying it yourself)
