Hey guys so I ordered 24gb of ram from transintl. As far as I know Apple says the 2010 quad cores need 1066MHZ PC8500 ram but I was sent 1333MHz PC10600 Ram is this ok?

Thanks.

Apple actually specify a 1333MHz memory speed for all 2010 Mac Pros.

Let us know how it works out. I am curious how the slower 1066MHz RAM works compared to the recommended higher priced 1333MHz RAM. If Transintl will offer a refund if it doesn't work, its worth a try.

Why shouldn't it work? A) The Xeons have their memory controllers inside the CPU and B) It will clock down to 1066MHz if 1333MHz is not supported.
