8GB in a mid-2010 13-inch MBP

I got the 2.66GHz model and I was wondering what are the advantages of dropping $240 more for 8GB of RAM.

Applications I use often are Aperture 3 and some Photoshop CS5
 
Open Activity Monitor and check how much RAM you are using. Also, look at page outs and the size of the swap file. Those apps run fine with 4GB though
