Why is that not good for a smaller and older phone like a 5s? It might not be amazing or perhaps even great necessarily (although even that can be debated to some degree), but it's certainly mot "not good".To be honest thats not good baettery life but better than my iPhone 6 which only manages 4 hours of SOT

BTW, SOT or usage? To be honest thats not good baettery life but better than my iPhone 6 which only manages 4 hours of SOT

6 hours implies you need to charge it twice a day which is average or slightly below average.I consider 8 hour usage as good battery lifeWhy is that not good for a smaller and older phone like a 5s? Usage. Its very bad. Here is my latest battery lifeBTW, SOT or usage?
This is false. On the contrary I just preordered a iPad Pronothing apple is good for that guy..
oh my ... 6 hours of usage, with a rather poor network signal strength, for a 3 years old device is a VERY GOOD battery lifeTo be honest thats not good baettery life but better than my iPhone 6 which only manages 4 hours of SOT
indeednothing apple is good for that guy..

are you able to analyze it ?Usage. Its very bad. Here is my latest battery lifeView attachment 623019
Note this is without gaming otherwise it can be 4 hours
So you can criticize something else about AppleThis is false. On the contrary I just preordered a iPad Pro
The Galaxy S7 Edge and the Xperia Z5 manage 18 hours of usage almost. It really is hilarious you find 6 hours very good when even the Xperia Z3 manages a full day of useoh my ... 6 hours of usage, with a rather poor network signal strength, for a 3 years old device is a VERY GOOD battery life

indeed
lol.... 18 hours of usage. In your dreams maybeThe Galaxy S7 Edge and the Xperia Z5 manage 18 hours of usage almost. It really is hilarious you find 6 hours very good when even the Xperia Z3 manages a full day of use
PS-The 5S is 2.6 years old
Lol you do realise those tests are of heavy usage with max brightness enabled?I usually keep my phones at below 50% which would double the battery life given above.Conveniently you forgot to include the battery life of the iPhone 6 and the 5s in this test which last HALF as long as the Galaxy S7 and got a HORRIBLE rating in Phonesrena testlol.... 18 hours of usage. In your dreams maybe
even PhoneArena, well known Samsung's lover, reported a battery life not better than the iPhone 6S+

Let me know if I can stop here...
Really, every time you speak about Apple and Samsung, you seem to live in a parallel dimension
If don't understand anything about those benchmarks why still try to lecture me ?Lol you do realise those tests are of heavy usage with max brightness enabled?I usually keep my phones at below 50% which would double the battery life given above.Conveniently you forgot to include the battery life of the iPhone 6 and the 5s in this test which last HALF as long as the Galaxy S7 and got a HORRIBLE rating in Phonesrena test

So not SOT that you mentioned. Got it.6 hours implies you need to charge it twice a day which is average or slightly below average.I consider 8 hour usage as good battery life

If you are going to compare usage with some large phones, then compare the usage to the iPhone 6s Plus (if you actually want a realistic comparison and not just one that randomly throws out talking points without any actual connection to anything that is). But this thread isn't about that anyway. The Galaxy S7 Edge and the Xperia Z5 manage 18 hours of usage almost. It really is hilarious you find 6 hours very good when even the Xperia Z3 manages a full day of use

All of these benchmarks are using strenous PCMark and webgl tests which are highly demanding on the battery. With a mixture of moderate to high NORMAL usage you can asily double the time on the benchmarkIf don't understand anything about those benchmarks why still try to lecture me ?
Do you know what 200 NITS means ? Actually is quite similar to the 50% you are speaking about...
I quoted half a dozen of benchmarks from very popular and serious websites and you replied with "PhoneArena" ....
So not SOT that you mentioned. Got it.
And you did see the part of almost 17 hours of standby in that screenshot (or even more than that in yours)--that means the phone would only need to be charged once during the day, generally at night, which is rather normal.

First: that's simply NOT TRUE. Some tests are just web browsing... Nothing strenuous. All of these benchmarks are using strenous PCMark and webgl tests which are highly demanding on the battery. With a mixture of moderate to high NORMAL usage you can asily double the time on the benchmark
my links demonstrated it's not.I stated the S7 Edge because it has the best battery life out of any smartphone out there
It's great that S7 Edge might have great battery life, but what does that have to do with a much smaller and much older iPhone 5s (or even still a smaller and older iPhone 6)? It's like saying that the latest 12 inch tablet has a much better battery life than an older and smaller 5" tablet--who would have ever expected that? All of these benchmarks are using strenous PCMark and webgl tests which are highly demanding on the battery. With a mixture of moderate to high NORMAL usage you can asily double the time on the benchmark
My usage time obviously is in the ballpark of my SOT as I idle time drain is minimal and I havent listened to music
I stated the S7 Edge because it has the best battery life out of any smartphone out there
Don't you know the last tendency on MR Forums ? Brought up Galaxy S7 Edge in basically every thread ... from the same users. It's great that S7 Edge might have great battery life, but what does that have to do with a much smaller and much older iPhone 5s (or even still a smaller and older iPhone 6)? It's like saying that the latest 12 inch tablet has a much better battery life than an older and smaller 5" tablet.
And all that aside, the standby time shows that the device provided an all day use for someone. So, again, all the things that are being brought up are basically moot.
