So I was at the Apple store today to buy a Smart Cover, so I had never really tried the virtual full keyboard found on the 12.9 Inch. And I can say it is amazing its perfect all the number Keys and Symbols Next to each key and the.com key. Now Compared to the Keyboard on the Current 9.7 the Keys are Ridiculously over sized. I hope people here agree Apple can Shrink the Full Size keys on the 9.7 to account for a top row of numerical keys. This is not hard to do its can simply be an option. This is where Apple strikes me as arrogant that it is still not an option. Heck my 5.7" Samsung Note 5 Keyboard has of course smaller keys but still includes an @ key and a full set of numerical keys top row.
This is not much I am asking for and very likely many others too would welcome this option.

So Apple is being arrogant simply because they don't do something that you insist they do? Because you are the boss and Apple is supposed to do everything you say, right?

Oh the irony...

So sorry that was not my intention to call Apple arrogant because they don't do what I personally wish.

I think it would be a welcome option and good idea and not hard to do to shrink the keyboard keys on the 9.7 tablets and give people and option to switch to a smaller yet more feature rich keyboard style.

If you look at what Apple has done with the 12.9" iPad pro virtual keyboard, they haven't shrunk anything. Apple was able to add a new row of keys because the iPad is larger and has more vertical screen space, so a taller keyboard still doesn't take up as much of the screen as before.

I am not sure shrinking the keys might necessarily result in a better typing experience when it means that people might have a harder time accurately hitting the keys they want to press. As it stands the 9.7" iPad's keyboard already takes up about half the screen. This is not including any more space taken up by the app's UI bar, and I have little desire to see even more of the screen being covered up.

So the 9.7 doesn't have the number row and such? I am surprised. That's one of the things that makes the ipp more productive than the Air 2 was.
I wish we could get a smalle row of half or 1/3 keys for numbers along the top. I disable predictive type so I have a blank bar above the keyboard. Aw well.
