It sure looks tempting. But does a less than 1" improvement matter ? Or are you considering waiting for next years 10.7" Pro with OLED Display when Apple takes away the Home Button and has all that Extra Space. ?

Apple is Extremely Market savvy and the 10.5" Pro looks amazing. But how outdated will it
Be when next years model has a seemless no Button look.

I'll admit I am tempted but there's nothing the 10.5" can do that the 9.7" Pro can not do that I know off.

Having used a 9.7" Pro since launch (14-15 months), I've wanted a bigger screen for a while. I'm really torn on whether I'd go 10.5 or 12.9.

Nah, I'm good with what I got. I'm just a surfing the net, taking notes, reading books, texting and playing some games on the subway while going to work type of guy anyway.

OMG!!! Next year's model will will not have a home button on the bottom - it will look TOTALLY AMAZING and DIFFERENT!!! Everyone should definitely throw out their old-fashioned "pre-integrated home button" iPads away for that!!!

/sarcasm

Seriously, who cares if that button goes away? The answer to your question is "Not outdated at all."

No, but i can't wait to use the new software and really made me want to purchase the pencil. Had me questioning how I have gone so long without it.

I am going to sell my iPad Pro 9.7 inch 128GB to get the new iPad..any differences between the smart keyboard and the updated one..same question applies to the pencil

I just ordered one to try it out. If it ends up being good, I'll be selling my 9.7" and 12.9" Pros and just using that one. Otherwise, I'll keep the other two (yes, I'm a bit silly having two iPad Pros, I know)

Hell no. I love my 9.7 Pro and the updates are honestly not that great. Plus, I'd be kicking myself if I splurged instead of saving for next year's OLED, edgeless iPads.

Nope.

You know next year that 10.5 is going to be smaller with the home button integrated into the screen like the rumored iPhone 8. OLED possibly too.

Also I got my 9.7 Pro last summer for 500 bucks. The new one is 50 bucks more than the 9.7 msrp. I don't really need 64gb because I stream everything and store everything in my Dropbox, Google Drive, Amazon Prime Photos, etc.

I'll look forward to iOS 11 however.

Yep it's a no brainer upgrade for everyone. Incredible new features and the performance improvements are stunning.
I wouldn't call it a no-brainer. It's only .8" larger, has a very similar display, but just has a "smooth" scrolling. No thanks, I'll keep my 9.7!

Same. I'm much more excited about iOS 11 for my IPP 9.7. I'd totally buy the 10.5" if I had an Air 1 or Air 2, but no, simply not big enough changes for me.

Ha, I wish, but I like what I like and use it a heck of a lot.

I've no interest in cars for example, so I drive £3k girly man cars into the ground lol

No kids and a reasonably good job helps admittedly.
I'm the same. Tech over new cars anyday

Be interesting how much will be available storage for 512GB. Hopefully ios 11 cleans room like it did with ios 10
