I swear as the years pass, every time the national anthem is sung another 18 twiddly notes get added and it takes another 20 seconds to sing it.

By 2050, there will be no time for sports. People will die of old age waiting for the start of a game. People will miss their own weddings, their mothers birthday, they'll miss an important meeting and their bladders will detonate because the national anthem has grown to be a 16 hour long affair with 1.987 billion added twiddly notes.

Her voice is great, and she's not the worst I've seen (that was at a Dodgers game about 2 months ago) there is an appropriate scope and scale of added musical punctuation to a song, and it seems the race is on to exceed it by as much as is humanly possible.
