If I was in the UK, I would sell it for sure. With as hot an item as the iPad is over there right now, you could easily make quite a tidy profit selling it.

Perhaps no one answered the first two as the blatant attempt to screw someone with more money than sense out of £75 was not worth the effort. I decided otherwise.

Hell, I'd sell it - it'd nicely offset some of the cost of the iPad you're getting. But if good karma you're after I'd sell it to someone for exactly the same price as you bought it, but with them covering the postage costs. I'm sure someone here on MR would be more than happy to take it off your hands, and it's always nice to build stronger links with another MR'er.

BUT not on this thread - Marketplace m'boy, Marketplace ;)
 
I live in SW London so personal collection would be possible ?

However I would not be remotely interested in paying £675 as I will be able to get one for £599 from the Apple store in Regent St on launch day by getting there early enough, one way train ticket is £5 from me so if you are prepared to sell at cost or say cost + an extra £10-15 for your troubles I will be willing to bite
 
I'm afraid I did the 'right' thing and cancelled it. I just can't be bothered having to deal with any of the palaver involved in eBaying it swiftly enough to make it worth the extra to the buyer.

Sure I could have walked away with the cash to buy all the apps I want on Day One, but I can sleep better at night ;)

Sorry if folks had got excited at the possibility of grabbing it. :(
 
There IS hope!

Ordered 04:34 (03:34 GMT) a 64GB Wi-Fi with dock...

Now showing as prepared for shipment and the money is still pre-allocated at the bank!

6 days and counting

My iPad case is now showing as "Prepared for Shipment" (it turned to this status only in the last hour). The ETA is still "Ship by May 28th" though.

Any ideas when I should expect it? (I.e. when to try to make sure that I am free to sign for the UPS shipment!).

My guess is not before 28th but... Heh! Waddo I know?

Been following these since Jan and still won't believe it's here til he's plugged in and syncing!
 
Ordered 05:22 on the 10th (UK). 05:07 on the 22nd, "your Apple order has been shipped" turns up in my inbox :)

"We expect your order to be delivered to your shipping address on or before 28.05.2010."

That order was 64GB 3G with O2 SIM. Also ordered case+dock (seperately); that order's yet to ship.
 
remember the on or before are standard text.

it wont be before as people cant pick them up instore until friday, itll all release as the same time.

im pretty sure americans had theirs shipped early, got all excited and then they were held until friday

mine starts gb and the apple serial number lookup site doesnt recognise where its built???

WRONG!

Everyone's iPad was shipped early and sat waiting to be delivered, and I recall a thread populated by Americans dedicated to the speculation on package deliveries.
 
Mine has shipped but now my estimated delivery just looks like this:

"Estimated Delivery: ___________"

It used to say delivered on 28th. Is there any way I can track my order?
