Who's taking the day off to receive your iPhone?

Last year I had my 3GS shipped to my workplace and Fed-Ex for some reason delivered to a different area of the business then usual so my boss received the package. He thought it would be funny to open my 3GS and slip his iPhone 2G in the box. He then neatly repacked the box and I didn't find out until the end of the day that he had been carrying around my new phone in his pocket. Of course hilarity ensued for all involved except me. I secretly was enraged but put on a fake smile as I left work. I remember being so pissed that he had opened the package. You don't mess with another man's electronics! :p

I put in a vacation day this year to avoid a repeat.
 
I told my boss today I might be a bit late. She suggested I might need to take the day off. :p
 
Wow, if you get paid very much/day, then that phone will really start to get expensive. A day of vacation, or sick, needs to be factored in.
 
I'll be taking the day off to pickup a reserved iPhone 4!!!! Woohoo!!! As much as I love my iPhone 3G it's time to upgrade and the iPhone 4 is a great step up!! Can't wait to get my hands on it!!!

I have paid sick leave so personally it doesn't matter ;)
However, I will not be taking the day off. I'll order it online via apple.com and have it delivered. I may leave work early though.
 
I took the whole day off but if I get the phone soon enough (depending on what time it actually goes on sale) I may pop into work for a little bit.
 
I'm starting a new job :( So i have training for the next 2 weeks so i can't take anytime off. So i might have it sent to my job instead.

I also discovered that my new boss dropped his 3GS :eek: and the screen is cracked on his

Like I said, I just told my boss I'd be in a bit late. No big deal. At my level I just get my work done and nobody cares.
 
@ Hawklight - That's hilarious, although I'm sure it wasn't at the time. And great payback on your part for taking the day off this year.

I just have mine delivered at home because I have valet/doorman service.
