Actually it is.
I am taking off work AND skipping class lol but it's only golf...
As soon as the release date was confirmed at the WWDC, i immediately sent my supervisor a message asking off the 24th before anyone else at work beat me to it.
I was thinking about taking the day off but I'm stuck in a SCCM training class. I'll probably pre-order for the nearby Apple store and grab it on my lunch break. Though...I've also been thinking about pre-ordering and grabbing it at BestBuy. Decisions...decisions!
Oh, how this forum makes me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside.
Sorry, taking off work to wait for my phone to come is not even close to why I would burn a vaca day. Infact its not even on the list.

I told my boss today I might be a bit late. She suggested I might need to take the day off.
She's smart, probably gonna go get the iPhone herself.
Haha...actually I think her husband is. After I mentioned it to her she told me about his adventures last year.
She was just kidding, trying to give me a guilt trip. She doesn't really care if I'm a little late. She knows I'll get my work done. I actually highlighted the date on her calendar.
Some people such as myself have tons of vacation time built up so one day is not really an issue. Also I think you may be surprised how many freakos do the same.

I always have my Apple stuff delivered to work then leave early. There are a lot of Apple lovers there so they understand.

And I normally have Fridays off, So I thought I would be in the clear if it came out on a different week in June, and then Apple pulls a Thursday Release, but... Ill be driving... grrr lol
