The 8600 has been in there a while but the updated card (9600) was just released and it is not even in a mobile version yet.

And an 8600m is an integrated card? This is a ridiculous statement. What are you going to do with the macbook pro? Play Crysis? Far Cry 2? Get a desktop, damn.

The 9300M GT and 9500M GS are just the 8400M GT and 8600M GT.

ATI is getting a lot more interest with its 55nm Mobility HD 3xxx Series.

but i think you need to wait around 1 year or 2 to get those on MBP man..

I believe the 3600 is slightly better than the 8600 (it also includes DX 10.1 support), so I'd say the the 3600 is likely to show up in the next MBP.

The Mobility HD 3600 is just a die shrink of the previous HD 2600 XT. Expect more or less the same small advantage from clock speeds over the 8600M GT (9500M GS) that the older 2600 had but with it being cooler and drawing less power.

ATI cards seem to shine until you toss in anti-aliasing or anisotropic filtering.
