Where'd you see that? I don't see that in comex's twitter. I have seen the info elsewhere though, but no baseband update doe not mean that the spirit explout wasn't patched. I would still wait to update,.

The Spirit type of JB for 4.0 hasnt been released so Apple wouldnt know what and where to patch it obviously.
But its always wise to wait, this update is worthless anyway IMO.

Humm....hold on.

What happened to his post? It was there now I don't see it?

I saw that also. comex said it was ok, then tweeted if you wanted the pretty bars, atleast on the iphone4

The OP isn't making it up

I don't see the post either, but twitter is acting very funny. Posts keep appearing and disappearing and the timestamps keep changing every time I refresh so let's wait and see.

OP is not lying - I see that post now in my stream in Itsy, BUT if I try to reply, star it, or report it, I get a "not found" error.

I'd hold off for now, just to be safe.

I saw it on my EchoFon timeline, but www.twitter.com/comex doesn't show it.

I think it's been deleted. And I was just about to upgrade too!

Yea...thanks for confirming I'm not seeing things. When I checked into his Twitter page a few minutes ago he had just posted the message in my original post. Said posted just "10 seconds ago".

Then after posting on MR I went back and it was gone?

Thank you...I'm not screwing with anyone.

But we should wait till comex confirms. 4.0.1 isn't a must have by any means....so be safe!

The situation is this.

If you need an unlock then DO NOT update until we know whether it contains a baseband update or not for sure.

If you just want a jailbreak and don't have your 4.0 SHSH blobs on file then its safer to wait a while.

If you just want a jailbreak and you have your 4.0 SHSH blobs on file then feel free to update if you want. (Although what's the point?)

Hey, just because this particular thing you saw happened to really be there doesn't mean that you're not seeing things.

I wasn't planning on upgrading to 4.0.1 just for a new looking bar and it's a big download that gets me nothing.

The twitterverse is reporting that 4.0.1 fixes the proximity sensor issue (which I actually have experienced a few times, unlike the deathgrip, which I have not). So that might be a reason to upgrade.

I think I'll just wait till sunday or monday and see what people are saying over the weekend and what it really fixes, it can't be much with such a small update increment I wouldn't think

Maybe tinyUmbrella will be update to cache 4.0.1 blobs or can it do that now?

Then I may update. I'm not having proximity senor problems though.

planetbeing and Musclenerd say not to update so. 4.0 is where I'm stayin..

Obviously avoid today's 4.0.1 update until JB tools are updated. Luckily, no baseband change so ultrasn0w lives on :)

I would recommend to everyone just to hold your horses. All it's really going to do is make it look like you have more bars, anyway.
