After reading dozens of reviews for iPhone 4 screen protectors I knew what I wanted

1) Fingerprint resistant
2) Crystal clear retina display
3) Slick surface

The two top choices where the SGP Ultra Oleophobic Screen protector and the Power Support HD matte protector.

I went with the SGP ultra oleophobic ( if you can stand a hit to color and clarity the PS is probably a good choice)

I took my time installing the screen protector and got a perfect install, but noticed that the surface was... well less than slick.

I had some extra Meguiar's NXT 2.0 wax lying around and decided to put a layer on the protector ( make sure to let it dry)

OMG

what a huge difference. The surface is now super slick, and fingerprints are pretty much non existent.

I'm not sure how long this coating will last, but its been about a day and its still very slick/fingerprint resistant.

Don't believe me, give it a shot !

can you post some pics of how it would look like with attempts at finger prints? lol. also let us know how long it lasts for. thanks.

interested in pictures as well. And it will probably last quite a long time as wax on cars are strip by the weather, it is unlikely your phone surface will see much of that. On the other I don't touch my cars after i wax them either

lol no one believe anythings on this forum without pictures

I don't own a camera, but i'll see if i can find a way to take some pics on the weekend

Just take screenshots of the screen and post them up. :D

I am joking i'm not THAT stupid...

Going to try this tonight. I don't have the NXT but do have other Meguiar's that I love on my car.

i would rather not try this at all, even though i always have NXT wax on hand for my car.

You will eventually keep having to reapply, and reapply, not considering all the microscopic residue that will be on your fingertips at the end of the day. Eventually getting into your mouth by food, orhand contact. Eventually leading to cancer from wax consumption

I wax my bathroom sink to keep it nice and clean...toothpaste blobs just slide right down...and if you are up to it, wax your toilet bowl, no more poop stains :D

LOL, i have NXT 2.0 wax, maybe ill try. I never use it anyone, i use Dodo juice Purple haze and blue velvet now

Well, the SGP Oleo is sticky at first, but gets slick the more you use it. Similar to that of a brand new iPhone, sticky at first, then gets really smooth.

ItsJustafnPhone, you are a genius!

I didn't have NXT so i used Mirror Glaze. Now the SGP Oleophobic is fingerprint resistant and smooth as glass.

:D

Wow this is a very good idea. I can't wait to try this out when I purchase a bottle of this wax. I'm going to try it on my PS films and see what happens. From what I read about what the product does to the cars, it looks very promising on my PS films.

Question: I assumed you applied this wax on the films before you installed it...Correct?
