My iPhone 4 has been updated to 4.0.1....however in Cydia it states my device has SHSHs on file for 4.0.1 and 4.0.2?
I've never had 4.0.2 installed on this or any iPhone.
How is this possible?

beats me, mine is the same, i wouldnt worry about it
Cydia will save any SHSH blobs that are available regardless if you have that firmware or not. My brother is at 3.1.3 and he has all 4.0+ SHSH blobs saved.
I don't believe this is correct. The SHSHs listed on Cydia should be unique to the device.
i believe once you have files stored on cydia for any firmware, you've opened the door to allow cydia to get SHSH blobs for future available firmwares.
how it does it i dunno, because it hasn't saved my 4.0.2 blobs yet.

i.e.
"This device..."
Me=Dope?
I was wondering this too! It was only 4.0.1 until this morning where is now has blobs for 4.0.1 and 4.0.2 saved too.
Once you have Cydia saving you SHSH, it will continue to queue Apple server for whatever SHSH hash Apple is currently signing and save them. And, that's how you have 4.0.2 saved in Cydia. Once 4.1 comes out, it be the same. Since Cydia can only request q certain amount of hashed at a time (otherwise Apple might ban Cydia's servers), some people will have them save on Cydia and some won't. You can wait or try using tinyumbrella to request one manually + it'll appear on Cydia.
It is unique to your device, all that means its that Cydia server requested the SHSH blobs for your device on 4.0.2 and saved them.

I think one point being missed by members trying to answer the original question is this:
I think the question is that the shsh blobs are saved for 4.0.2 but NOT for 4.0.1 or any earlier versions.
I am having the same problem with my iPhone 4!
