Hey Everyone,
I am having a strange problem on my Windows XP Bootcamp partition. I have just installed Office 2007 and I used to have paralells on the Mac Side to see how well it worked, but I decided to remove it as it didn't work as I liked. However, since installing Office 2007, when I try to save a file, it saves as ex. ppt_auto_file or docx_auto_file. Does anyone know why it would be doing this, when I googled this hits about paralells came up. I was wondering what would be causing this, as I have uninstalled paralells.

This is quite annoying as I have to "open program with" and the icons aren't right, they look strange. Do I have to do a reinstall of XP, did Paralells mess something up with bootcamp?

Please help,
Thanks for any replies.

PS - However attaching these files to an email, they have the correct extension ex. pptx

Sorry everyone,
Just figured out how to fix the problem. Had to create a new user and delete my old one in windows. Fixed all my file association problems.
