It is why I titled my thread basic user.

That means I want to pick up an Android phone and expect the calling app to work.
That means I want to open default browser and be able to go to pages on ESPN and have them render correctly.
I expect the keyboard to work fairly well.
I expect the battery to last all day.
I expect no choppiness.

Again basic expectations. I see people here nitpick how Apple does notifications better or Android does them better. Both are fine to me. Both camera are fine to me. Both photo apps are fine to me. Almost all 3rd party apps are fine to me. Visual voicemail itself is fine to me. My expectations are lower than most I believe. It was a poor experience.

My calling app works every time without issue.
Chrome renders pages every time I browse and I have not had a single web browsing issue.
I've tried all sorts of keyboards. Samsung's default keyboard was OK, but I prefer Swiftkey. It's free and easy to install from Google Play. I have had zero issues with it. It's an awesome free keyboard.
My battery lasts more than all day after more than a year of use.
I don't have any choppiness or lag. Phone works great and loads things quickly and without issue.

See how this works?

I have no doubt your calling app works every time. Mine does not.
Chrome renders your page every time you browse. I will not dispute that. The samsung browser does not for me. For a flagship device I expect it to. I expect Safari to do the same. It works like Chrome works for you.
I probably would have switched keyboards if I were to have kept the phone.
My battery does not last more than half a day.
I do have choppiness or lag.

Nothing you wrote negates my experience. Nothing I wrote negates your experience. As I wrote my experience others chimed in that they had a similar experience to mine.

It would be like you saying your wife cheats on you. Well mine does not. Me saying mine does not does not make yours any less of a cheater

So yes I see how this works. NEXT!!

Um, then why didn't you install Chrome? No one MADE you use the Samsung browser. You click a button in the Play Store. Why didn't you install a keyboard? Again, another click. Battery management is something that you have control over. It's quite easy to manage, even my cheating wife can manage it.

Just sounds like you gave up because you prefer iPhone and that's fine. Just say that instead of slagging Android and or Samsung. NEXT!!

Maybe because the Samsung browser is significantly faster and more power efficient than chrome.

Chrome started out as a fast browser (almost 10 years ago), now it is one of the more bloated ones.

While I have no doubt Chrome works it is unacceptable for me to not be able to use a browser that the phone comes with without issues. I have clicked the battery optimization button multiple times. It did not help much. I have now put the phone back to factory default to ship out. The battery is still terrible for a phone with little to nothing on it. My expectations are for a flagship product to work with what it ships with. The fact that there are alternatives certainly is good since one has a workaround, but does not absolve from Samsung shipping the phone with crap on it.

Multiple people on the Android forums claim the Samsung browser is faster and has an ad blocker. So I guess I could have installed a slower browser.

Im an s7 edge owner and I never had half those problems. In fact, the Samsung Music app is one of my favorites.
Looking forward to getting my X though
