Is it normal when I use my MacBook Pro USB-c cable with the monitor it is charging but no picture, while if I use the cable provided by the monitor I can charge and use my MacBook Pro with the LG?

This old guy got a 27" Philips 4K. Had to set screen so it's effectively 1920X1080 so I could see icons. The bigger screen is nice though. In addition to upping default font size, make the mouse cursor bigger. It gets hard to see as you age. My 24" is now secondary monitor. Everyone should have one of those.

I've had a couple of LG monitors and really like them in terms of image quality, the port selection, decent quality cables, good solid stands etc.

Another question...is there an option to switch source automatically? I use a Mac mini M1 on HDMI 1 and a MacBook Pro on usb-c...every time I need to use the little joystick which is not practical. Would be nice if it could auto detect video.
