Hello fellow fanboys/girls...
I was playing around with VLC (see videolan.org) and I am well aware of its powerful video streaming capabilities, although I am bad at this sort of thing. My goal would be to have a client on a home mac computer (the computer would need to be a powerful intel mac to transcode on the fly, perhaps) that had control of an entire libary of video files, and have the iPhone be able to access an html page over the internet with organized links to all the video.
Not really an app, but sort of.
Anyway, I have no clue the best way to implement something like this, but I think it's everyone's dream to have on the fly access to one's entire video library.
