A couple of iPhoto questions

So, I have a couple of (I hope simple) questions about iPhoto.

First of all, I have an external hard drive, and I would like iPhoto to save it's photos to that, and not to the internal hard drive on my macbook (I'd like to keep it as empty as possible).
Can I do this?

Secondly, is it possible to link iPhoto to the google photo application, Picassa?

Do you mean Picasa Web Albums (a web application) or Picasa for Mac?

I'm not sure why you would link Picasa for Mac to iPhoto, since you'd have two applications doing essentially the same thing with the same photos.
