Been using my iPad a lot since I got it. On its third complete power drain now. Was using it and got down to 3% left. Plugged it in via the wall outlet and continued using the iPad.

I was typing in mob codes in the game TurfWars when it shut down on me. I thought that was weird cause I was plugged into the power. Showed it was charging and everything. I let it sit there for a while till I could get it back on (it was sitting the battery indicator symbol in the middle of the screen). I started using it again and watched as even though i was plugged in showing 3% battery it dropped back down to 2% after using it for a while.

So first issue is it appears that even via the wall outlet I am using more power than it is charging and still draining the battery.

Second issue I noticed is that while plugged into the wall if I do the power down procedure of Holding the lock button and the menu button then sliding the bar to power off it will immediately reboot and show the apple symbol like its booting. After the apple goes away its stuck at a black screen but you can tell its on cause the screen is almost like a backlit black screen. No matter what button I hit here nothing happens. I have to unplug the power then it shows the lock screen and seems to function like normal.

So I can't actually power the ipad off and have it charge cause it just reboots. Anyone else have this happen?

I can have the unit stay powered off and not reboot as long as power isn't connected.

Did you have it plugged in with the supplied power brick or the one that comes with the iPhone? 'Cause there is a big difference between the two, the iPhone supplies .15 mah and the iPad supplies .45 mah. I looked with a loupe to read the difference after it took over five hours to charge...

already verified that using my macbook. I don't think it would show charging if the wall socket was switched off either. ;)
