A curve iPhone 5? Dare Apple to do it

See this one curve iPhone 5 concept design on Business Insider. If Apple dare to do something like this, it sure will get a big WOW

Not a bad idea :)

They already make iPhone work as a music device, remote control, etc ...
Someone can write an app make iPhone work as a mouse (make sure do not use it on a rough surface though :rolleyes:).

Also the manufacturers who make cases for iPhones will have one extra step in making the cases... that is bending/curving the case.

I don't think i'd be comfortable having a curved iPhone in my pocket.

I hope they keep a flat back. I hated the curved back of the 3G and 3GS since it made the phone wobble when used while placed on a table.
 
Hmmm

The 3rd party accessory makers would be rubbing their hands together thinking of the revenue, as very few previous cases would fit even if modded !

If the apple logo does light up then the makers of the iPhone backing plate you can buy that light up will be out of business. I for one don't want to have a beacon shining out saying, hey look I'm using an expensive iPhone so please come mug me !

Id be looking for the 'turn off' toggle !

I know its another concept thread but it brings more spice to the current conspiracy theories. I like to think the guys and gals at apple are raising their eyebrows thinking, should we !
 
I think the slight curve of the 3G/S is more ergonomical, I wouldnt mind a return to that. Or at least a case that can provide the same thing.

Im sure this is possible already. would it be possible to use the camera as a tracking sensor? if so, it is a magic mouse.

A majority of cases are made by injection molding, so I doubt other than having to retool it won't cost anymore to make them. They'd have to do it for any redesign regardless.

Curved design is looks horrible though. I can't imagine it being ergonomically pleasing either.
 
Looks nice and user friendly. Buuuuuuuut it also looks a whole lot like a photoshopped Magic Mouse I want to see a little more originality in concept designs, still interesting though.

Using the camera itself as a tracking sensor won't make a very good mouse. Would be botchy at best. Use of the accelerometer would make a far better mouse than that.
