I'll be in the minority on this and say i like it. For the one singular reason people like the feeling of extended batteries in their hand: the curved design fills your palm nicely and gives it a nice "fits for my hand" kinda feeling.
I seriously doubt this'll be apple's next design for the fact that it looks so different. And just gauging from the reactions from people on here, nobody seems to like it but me. I think this could be a good thing if they decided to push it out there though: it looks different. Not like any other android phone and with mass marketing, would be easily identifiable as the new iPhone. And it connects nicely with apple's design/theme when you compare it to the magic mouse. Looks exactly like it (probably is a photoshop with the exact image, but you know what i mean) and the glowing apple connects with MacBooks, so there's 2 products right there it reminds you of, integrating it nicely with apple's line of products. And just like the magic mouse, the back could be touch sensitive for gestures. This could be apple's new big thing. There are a lot of things in the tech world where people's initial reaction was dislike and confusion and given a little time, loved the product anyway. The iPad was the dumbest name ever, reminding us only of the madtv spoof of apple tampons. With a ton of marketing, now we don't even think about the name as meaning anything else. It's just apple's tablet.
Just think, iPhone 6 could be:
-magic mouse inspired with new intuitive gestures and api's for developers to tailer apps to this concept
-glowing apple that takes the light from the backlight of the screen, so it doesn't use extra battery power
-4 inch edge to edge screen with the home button being gone and the home function relegated to a "gesture"
-NFC
-Quad core processor
If the next iPhone was just this alone, it would sell a crap ton
