My roommate has her mom sent over her DVD collections (to our dorm). We were going to watch The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. (Don't laugh!)

Her laptop didn't have an optical drive so we just put the DVD in my MBP (It's probably the first time I've used that optical drive in years).

Anyway, the disc is now stuck and isn't recognize. I've tried forced eject and also tried removing the optical drive and shaking it, but the disc doesn't want to come out.

So, what do I do now?

+1 to the link that CoastalOR posted.

I'd add tweezers to the list of potential fixes.

Does it make any noise at all, like it's trying to eject the disc?

I have already tried shaking the SuperDrive.

Is there a way to disassemble the SuperDrive?

Yes it does make some noises.

I don't really want to use tweezers because I don't want to ruin the disc.

How did you try to force eject?
Did you try the terminal command?
Did you try holding down the Mouse/Trackpad button during restart?
Have you tried the cardboard in the "Disrupt the spin" section of the link I posted?

Gotta get it out of there.

CD/CDROM/CDRW/DVD (and, I'm sure, Blu-Ray) tracks start in the center and go outwards. Odds are it's not even taking up the entire diameter of the disc. All you need to grab is the first couple millimeters of the edge.

If you removed the optical drive, and the disk still doesn't come out, then you can remove the top cover of the drive (probably 4 or 6 small screws on the top edge of the drive), and lift the disk out. Good steps in CoastalOR's link.
One or more of the tiny screws may be covered by stickers, or tape.
