A dock question...

Hello all!

I have a problem with my dock is OS 10.4... The finder icon is missing and I don't know how to get it back. I don't know what I did and I know that it is not needed but I would like to have it there. I may be over looking something but if any body out there can help, i would like it!

It is just the finder icon missing in the dock. everything works fine. I have no problem with the finder, it is just I would like to have the icon in the dock.

go to force quit, then a tiny window pops up, see if it says you can relaunch finder( if so try that)

Restart or log out. Everything should be fine then.

Try opening System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app and see if it re-appears in your Dock.

And/or do the usual... repair permissions, etc.

I had the finder icon jump out of the dock onto the desktop once 😀 I fixed it by logging out, and back in again 🙂

Doing a finder relaunch could work just as well though
