I just realized that what I thought was a full ring on 1/10, was shy by a few cals. Ive had a 54 day move streak and been doing really well. I flipped my iPhones date backwards to the 10th, and got the last remaining cals I needed in order to complete the ring. I had to reboot the watch and phone a few times to get them to register the new move data. Will I be retroactively awarded the longest move streak award and keep my move goals continuous? I don't want this is hinder me getting the January 2017 badge. Ive completed my goals for the 11th and 12th, so now that the 10th is filled, theres technically no break in days showing in my activity history. Will this register at the end of the month properly?

And all you "you cheated" people, gimme a break. I was like 2 cals short, likely from taking my watch off around the house temporarily.

I'm not up to these challenges as I recover from ill health, but I do notice the occasional medal Apple bestows upon here. Probably quite modest compared with most on here. I often forget to start a walk on the watch but realise later that all my moving is being counted anyway.

Maybe I am wrong but all you have to do is complete 1 week at some point in Jan to get that badge. I have filled all three rings and double or triple my move and exercise goals alot of time for the past few months everyday and I still havent gotten credit for the New Year challenge. SO maybe dont put so much focus on it???

Yes it will register properly, now lets move on.

Did I really make it sound like it's life or death? Gimme a break. Just wanted to know one simple thing. I can't wait for other to ask stupid questions so I can pounce on them instead of seriously helping.

OP just wants to know if he'll get the January badge after fixing the day that wasn't complete. It's not a matter of him cheating - it's a matter of him keeping up that motivation to keep being active and to reach his goals. Why hassle him for that? Why criticize him, or even go so far as to make a joke about how he should commit suicide?

OP - odds are very high you'll get the January award. The move streak may or may not come back, but even if it doesn't, it likely won't rule out getting the month badge, or down the road, the bigger milestones.

Thank you

So just in case anyone is curious....

So I left off on the 13th with my 54 day move streak apparently frozen after my ordeal and never reappeared. Well today, it randomly did. And it says I got 65 days as a continued streak as it appeared to keep keep counting in the background, even though it was not showing up. Guess that answered that question.

...by cheating. Motivation is one thing, but let's not hide the truth that he is, in fact, cheating. He didn't compete the circle that one day, and it will haunt him for all time. ALL. TIME.

Yup gonna burn in hell for it probably.

Funny thread...

I had a near miss the other day when I arrived at work and received a tap mid morning that Power reserve should be used - I'd forgotten to charge overnight and my battery was about to die by lunch.

Not being able to time things and check the time frequently, as I often do, want my first concern. It was the rings!

Cue me moving as often as possible until it dies at 11.30am. I usually start at 6am so stand was still possible. Got back to my charger at 5pm and it took staying awake later than usual and changing my routine to fill the rings just after 11pm.

Streak fail averted . Keyring watch charger purchased. Damn you Apple.

I've tried this but to no avail.
