    Hey guys

I am looking into picking up a mac mini.

I sold my 27" imac and bought 3 27" screens for my windows pc but need a mac again so was wondering, is there a good way to connect all 2 (or atleast two) of my screens to a mac mini?

secondly, how is the power of the base i7 version?

I am using it for music production which is quite cpu intensive and my main pc currently is a 6 core i7 windows pc with 32gb ram, i dont want to be totally handicapped by the mac mini in comparison (im trying to move over to logic)

So basically, its performance under stress and its display abilities are my main concerns...

I currently also have a 2011 i5 macbook pro 13" if its at all comparable which i just use for internet.

You can run two monitors off the Mini easily. You get an adaptor for the HDMI port to a DVI socket in the box, and you need to buy an (Apple) adaptor to DVI for the Thunderbolt/MiniDisplayPort port.

There is a limit to the resolution you can run on the HDMI port: 1920 x 1200.
The mDP port will support much bigger.

The i7 absolutely rocks. I've got the 2.6 Ghz, which isn't that much more than the base i7. Logic is not a problem.

I would get a Fusion Drive, as the standard HDD might be a bottleneck.

The machines are pretty fast, fine for all but the most hard-core gaming or vidoe work, imho. Make sure you have at least 8GB of RAM to really open them up. And an SSD REALLY helps.
