So I recently purchased a MacBook Pro 13" with the 750gb 5400 rpm hard drive. I love the computer, but the hard drive is loud! It's constantly spinning and the whirring noise it makes is very noticeable in quiet environments and I think the aluminum casing just resonates it more.

I probably should've just ordered the MBP with a SSD from Apple, but I did not realize the HDD noise would bother me this much.

It seems like many people recommend the Crucial M4 SSD. It's got overall good reviews on Newegg, too.

My question is: I have some programs on this hard drive that I installed (my main concern is Microsoft Office) that use Product Keys and I'm worried that if I install the new SSD, my MSOffice will be useless. Or all my other apps for that matter - is there a way to transfer data from my current HDD to a new SSD if I decide to get one?

Also, how will I install OSX Lion on the SSD? My MBP did not come with any kind of install key.

Sorry for the long post, I am not very computer-savvy, so just bear with me, LOL. Any other comments are welcome! Thanks!
