Don't get me wrong, I love the iPhone, site unseen and I'll be in line on Friday, so I'm not bashing - just asking...

I saw somewhere that it doesn't have a calcualtor - is that true? Is so, that's a really dumb omission - I use mine on my current phone a lot and it's 3 years old.

Also, will I be able to sync my work Outlook Calendar in any way? I know it's not a blackberry, but can I do it somehow manually each day?

Do you think we'll be able to sync different things from different computers? For instance, my music from home, but my contacts from work?

Lastly - do we think there may be any way to tap in to my corp e-mail? I know, again, not blackberry style fully integrated, but blackberry also has a way to have outlook forward and reply to messages even if you aren't tied in to the exchange server from a corportate level.

I really want to ditch my palm/wince device - can't see carrying it around and the iPhone. I know the iPhone is more "personal" but I think for most of us the line between personal and business is kind of blurred. I'm sure a lot of this will come once folks start playing with it and someone will write something that opens it up.

I believe the 20 minute video said something about syncing up Outlook contacts on Windows. I dont know if it'll do calendar entries, but if its already into outlook for contacts, why not go whole hog.

    Secret features.. ?

There are still a few things that, in my mind, don't quite add up with the iphone:

    1. Absolutely no demonstration of the camera app or process of capturing images and video.

    2. The very distinct similarities of the home button and the iSight camera in the macbooks/pros.

    3. No iChat... I know we have probably been over and over this one but jumping on the school/office LAN and being able to quickly send any online user a quick message would be very useful when in the same situation many wouldn't bother sending an SMS.

When internet connectivity is not available the phone could automatically switch the sending process over to standard GSM/SMS protocols.. (or something like that, sounds clearer in my head!).

I hope that the hidden features are an iSight and iChat! That would really rock the s**t out of any smartphone for me. I hope that the carriers fear of loosing revenue from various existing GSM services to Internet based services is not going to hamper or dumb down the feature set too much, now and in the future..

It's cool, when we get excited about iPhone, apple + v can just happen without even knowing it.
