Should I use iPhoto or Image Capture? I'm about to buy a digital camera, and want to know which program is better to use. I will be taking still photos as well as videos with it.

Also, in Mail, I noticed there is a "Photo Browser" button that seems only to work with iPhoto and Photo Booth. Is there any way to change this to search for photos in Image Capture?

Also, I lost some iTunes music I downloaded, so what should I do next? Is it lost forever, or can I get it back?

Under "Complete My Album" in iTunes, it shows the albums of the songs I purchased, so it is still on my account, but not on my computer...

Depends on what you want to do. As best I can tell, Image Capture simply copies images and movies from your camera to disk files. You have to take it from there.

iPhoto will do the captures and will help you organize your photos. It also provides some simply editing features such as color correction, red-eye, cropping, and such.

For movies, you may want to look at iMovie for editing those.
