1) in canada with the educational discount they both the dual 1.8 g5 and top of the line imac g5 cost the same but i have no monitor so which should i get?
2) where can i get a dirt cheep 17+" lcd if get a g5
3) hows apple.ca with tax what do they charge

1. It depends on what you plan to use the Mac for. If you're going to be doing processor-intensive work, you would benefit from the PowerMac's dual CPUs. Otherwise, stick with the iMac.
2. I don't know about this one, since I don't live in Canada.
3. The sales tax charged depends on where you live in Canada. Here's a link to the sales tax rates in Canada, and another link to Apple Canada's sales tax policy.
 
it depends on your needs are you doing graphic intensive works or things that need the better processor or grpahics otherwise id get the imac because the monitor is included also consider your updrageability needs if you want this to last for a while get the powermac
 
i do want this comp to last a while so i guess il get the powermac
now i need to find a affordable monitor 17"+

any recommendations?
