A regional newsletter we've started to advertise in has hit a wall with her Microsoft Publisher app resizing—seemingly automatically—our 8.5 x 11 pdf to 6.375 x 8.25, and her not knowing how to get it not to resize. No other printer/publisher has had an issue with our file for this ad. Anyone out there who might have an idea about this Microsoft Publisher issue? Thanks in advance, PM

You are SERIOUSLY using M$ Publisher for printing???

Ummm why wouldn't you use something a little more print friendly like InDesign?

They're not. It sounds like the publisher of a small regional newsletter that they're trying to advertise in uses MS publisher.

Does the publisher print straight from MS publisher or do they output to PDF first? If they use pdf they could always have them leave a blank page in the document and swap it out with a pdf of your advertisement later. That might not be an option though. Best of luck either way... I know how much fun troubleshooting MS products can be.

    Microsoft Publisher — doh!

Yes, it's the regional newsletter that's having this issue when they've imported our pdf into MP. I've no idea what they're doing to get these results, but when it ran the first time it was a mess of pixellation (after finding the file to be smaller than needed, they then resized it back up—which makes me think, since it was at 300 to begin with, the program must have reduced the resolution as well). We asked, and they agreed to run it again, corrected.

Just thought I'd ask on the offhand chance someone here might have to work with this application at times. Thanks for your suggestion.
